Job Description

Overview

You’ll be the hands-on support for our video and AV projects, helping to bring ideas to life on screen; from setting up shots and capturing footage to rough-cut edits and final polish.

Responsibilities:

Editing & post-production:

  • Prepare rough cuts and assemble sequences in DaVinci Resolve / Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Apply basic colour correction, audio syncing and motion-graphics templates for final exports
  • Create stylised transitions, lower thirds, and subtle text animation for social and branded content
  • Use templates and build custom motion graphics where needed
  • Export and version out final assets for multiple formats/platforms

2D Animation:

  • Animate text, characters and elements in After Effects (or similar tools)
  • Work with Illustrator and Photoshop files to build animated scenes
  • Follow storyboards and creative direction to deliver clean, expressive movement
  • Integrate animated elements into live-action footage when required
  • Help develop animated explainers or intros for tribe. campaigns

Asset & Workflow Management:

  • Ingest, organise, and back up raw footage in accordance with our file-naming and storage protocols.
  • Maintain clean project files and backups
  • Ensure assets are properly tagged, stored and ready for handoff

Creative & Team collaboration:

  • Work closely with Media Producers, Designers and Creatives to align on tone, style and pacing
  • Handle revisions and feedback rounds efficiently, without losing creative flair
  • Liaise with team leads to ensure timelines are met and quality stays high
  • Remain flexible and be prepared to pitch in wherever required

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1+ years' experience in a 2D Animation and video editing role (agency, production house or in-house)
  • Proven ability to deliver broadcast-ready or client-ready work with minimal supervision
  • Skilled in motion graphics and editing software, particularly Adobe After Effects and Da Vinci Resolve (knowledge of PremierePro is a plus)
  • Strong eye for visual storytelling, pacing, and narrative structure
  • Strong communication skills and ability to give and receive feedback constructively
  • Calm under pressure, organised and self-driven
  • Good command of Maltese and English languages
