Job Description

Overview

You’ll lead the production and post-production of high-quality video content; from planning and filming to polished edits ready for broadcast, digital campaigns or social platforms. You’ll shape the story both on set and in the edit suite, applying creative judgement, technical precision and a sharp eye for brand tone.

This role calls for someone who can shoot confidently, edit independently, and collaborate seamlessly with Producers, Creatives and Clients. You’ll be expected to deliver finished work that meets broadcast and digital quality standards, including colour correction, audio levelling, and final exports across formats.

Responsibilities:

Filming & Capture:

  • Lead on-location and in-studio shoots, handling cameras, lighting and audio
  • Set up professional gear, including gimbals, lenses and lighting rigs
  • Frame, light and capture compelling footage across formats: interviews, promos, social reels, b-roll, and more
  • Coordinate with Producers and Creatives to ensure visual storytelling aligns with the brief
  • Capture high-quality audio and video independently or with small crews

Editing & Post-production:

  • Ingest, organise and manage raw footage using established protocols
  • Edit sequences in DaVinci Resolve, delivering work that’s ready for digital or broadcast delivery
  • Apply colour grading and audio balancing for a polished, professional finish
  • Incorporate titles, motion elements and transitions in alignment with brand guidelines
  • Export, version, and prepare final deliverables in multiple aspect ratios and codecs
  • Collaborate with Motion Designers when animation is required, and prepare assets accordingly

Creative Input & Collaboration:

  • Interpret briefs and bring creative ideas to the table early in the process
  • Take initiative to shape stories visually, making narrative and pacing decisions
  • Work closely with the Creative, Design and Marketing teams to align visuals with campaign strategy
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders as needed for feedback and reviews
  • Participate in brainstorms, pitch new formats or approaches, and stay up to date on visual trends

Workflow & Asset Managemnet:

  • Maintain clean project organisation and file hygiene across projects
  • Ensure footage, project files, and final exports are archived and accessible
  • Track multiple edit schedules and meet deadlines across concurrent projects

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2+ ytears' experience in a video editing and filming role (agency, production house or in-house)
  • Proven ability to deliver broadcast-ready or client-ready work with minimal supervision
  • Skilled in editing software, particularly DaVinci Resolve (knowledge of PremierePro and After Effects is a plus)
  • Strong eye for visual storytelling, pacing, and narrative structure
  • Strong communication skills and ability to give and receive feedback constructively
  • Calm under pressure, organised and self-driven
  • Good command of Maltese and English languages

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a graphic design role (agency or in-house)
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (e.g. content, video, marketing)
  • Proven ability to take a project from concept to delivery
